You have unlimited potential, so why are you not seeing the results, why are you not reaching your goals.

It’s one of two things, or both.

  • You are blaming other people for your problems.
  • You have not pursued your goal with resolve.

You have to take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself if you really want it. Is it your goal or someone else’s? If you really want it, if it’s your goal and you set it. What is stopping you? Most people have a list of problems going through their head after that question. Here are two of the problems that most people talk about.

  1. Not enough time
  2. I don’t know how to… you fill in the blank

You have the same amount of time in the day as the person who is achieving their goal and we live in the year 2016, you can learn anything if you try hard enough. These excuses don’t work, the truth is you don’t really want it, you want to have excuses to talk to your friends about. You want to keep telling your story about how the world is out to get you. It may sound harsh but do a little personal inventory the next time you are with your friends.

If you want to achieve your goal, work for it. Get up early or stay up late. Take a class or find YouTube videos to help you learn what it takes to get there. You have to put in the work.

Reaffirm your goal with resolve.

There is a quote by Benjamin Disraeli that sums up resolve in a powerful way. “Nothing will withstand the power of the human will if it is willing to stake its very existence to the extent of it’s purpose.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, that’s it. If you pursue your goals with resolve you won’t need to blame other people for things gone wrong. You will be so busy making things happen others won’t phase you. You can take a hit, get up, and keep moving.

The fact is you have unlimited potential, you can achieve your goal! There’s a beast inside waiting to get out. Make up your mind to pursue your goal with resolve and set the beast free.

Since the summer season is coming to an end, we need to think carefully about what we need to take out with us.

The essential essentials:

  • Hairbrush– for when that unexpected gust of wind blows your weave totally out of place.
  • Lip balm– Cold wind means chapped lips, always carry this around to pop on when they feel dry.
  • Paracetamol– Or any other pain relief. We never know when that stressed-at-work headache is going to kick in.
  • Feminine hygiene– That time of the month could catch you off guard, always be prepared!

The unexpected weather essentials:

  • Sunglasses– Gorgeous fashion accessory even if the sun doesn’t come out.
  • Umbrella– It goes without saying to always carry one everywhere, who wants to be caught up in a downpour? Not me.

The ‘freshen up’ essentials:

  • Body spray/deodorant– There is nothing worse than feeling a bit sweaty after a long day and not being able to do anything about it! Always have a mini spray in your bag to freshen up whenever you feel like it.
  • Perfume– Although not essential, it’s nice to always be smelling like you did when you first left the house this morning.

The ‘top up’ essentials:

  • Concealer– Handy little thing to keep close incase a spot appears out of the blue! Also brightens the eyes if you’ve had a really long day.
  • Mascara– Topping up mascara in your lunch break will widen your eyes so you look fresh for the rest of the day.
  • Powder– Just incase your makeup hasn’t stayed as well as you thought!
  • Mini cosmetics bag– To keep all these makeup products together.

How to Relate to your Audience! (2 min read)

For me, one of the biggest things to learn when I first began blogging was how to relate to my audience! In school, we are taught to avoid personal pronouns such as I, we, me, etc, but when blogging, that is the most important thing to do! In this post, I will tell you some of the best tips I have discovered over my months of blogging to relate to an audience!

Personalize it!

No one wants to read a research paper for a blog post! Give your own opinions and share your own life experiences! If you always write formal, your readers will feel very distant. Saying “This product is great” is much less personal than saying “After trying this product, I love it!” Make your readers feel connected to you

Listen to input!

After every post, ask your readers to tell you what posts they would like to see! This way you will be able to write about what your audience wants to hear about! Plus they’ll be more likely to share your article if they requested it!

Reply to comments!

I often fall into the trap of not wanting to reply to every single comment on my blog, but it is so important! You have to interact with your readers or they will lose interest!

Use social media!

Using social media to connect and relate to your readers is so important. It is much easier to get in contact there and they will be able to see all of your updates!

Use current references!

Many people like to hear about what’s popular. Using a reference, whether it be a celebrity, saying, tv show, anything and including it in your blog post will really further your website because readers will feel like they are similar to you!

Don’t be too out of reach!

Even if you are making millions of dollars every blog post, don’t talk about that because chances are your readers don’t know what that feels like! You want your readers to feel like they can relate you you, not to feel like you are some distant figure.

I hope you enjoyed this most as much as I enjoyed writing it! Just remember to be yourself and I’m sure your readers will be able to relate to that! Have a great week!

5 Ways Voluntarism Can Make You Become a Better Person (2 min read) — Millionaire’s Digest

“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.” —Muhammad Ali

What is a voluntarism? Is volunteering about money? Should we measure it that way? Most people would say NO. I started volunteering in 2014. From then till now, I have gained lots that the four walls of education never revealed to me. There’s value in volunteering and I have tapped from such value over time. Being a product of voluntarism, this is true.

Voluntarism is a life – long and significant journey of seeing yourself as part of the community through giving, contributing, and helping other individuals and the community at large. It is engaging with others to make a meaningful contribution to a better community.

“If you help more persons get what they want, they will come together and help you get what you want.”

In the most positive light, voluntarism goes beyond doing something without expecting anything in return. It is about meeting a need. The reward of meeting such needs cannot be overemphasized. Don’t believe me? Here are 5 ways volunteerism can help you become a better person.

1. Gain New Skills And Experience. Voluntarism breaks skill gap. I didn’t learn advocacy, public speaking and social media marketing through school. I learnt them via voluntarism. During a training I had with Milky Way Youth Movement as a Global Youth Ambassador Volunteer in 2015, I learnt how to better use the Google Search and another, how to use social media for advocacy. These are things you aren’t even paying to learn—a gift in today’s world of expensive education. Through voluntarism, you can acquire new skills, gain experience and sometimes even qualifications as you learn, unlearn and relearn.

2. You Can Get Inspired. Are you a writer, an artist, or other creative being? According to Julia Cameron, we all are. You can be inspired or get a new idea as you are volunteering. Voluntarism is a world of idea and inspiration if only you volunteer.

3. Build Your Network. Networking is an amazing benefit of volunteering. There’s a saying that goes thus, “Your network determines your networth. Voluntarism offers you the platform to meet with different kind of persons with diverse skills and ability from different regions of the world. You get first hand exposure that can impact on your professional and personal development.

4. Gain Confidence. Voluntarism can help you gain confidence by giving you the chance to try something new and build a real sense of achievement. Gandhi put it best when he said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

5. Eposed to opportunities. Voluntarism exposes you to wide range of opportunities. Ranging from scholarship and internship to free mentorship, trainings and seminars. Voluntarism feeds you with information about opportunities around the globe. Don’t stay idle, look out for platform to volunteer and if can’t find one, create one.

Have you volunteered before? If Yes, kindly share with us what you learnt from it as we will be glad to hear from you!

Forget Everything And Run, or Face Everything And Rise. It’s YOUR Choice!”- Anonymous

There are times in my life when I am scared to try a new thing just because I can’t imagine myself failing, even if I know deep inside me that I am going to be good at that certain thing. There are moments when I second-guess myself and doubt my own capabilities, fearing that I may badly hurt my self-esteem and may not recover from the blow.

However, I realized that whenever I do that— whenever I allow my fears to dictate my decisions and actions, I would only be wasting opportunities.  I would be throwing away my chances to succeed and thrive.

Fear is an illusion that our minds create to protect us from danger; but we should not allow it to disable us. Fear is NOT real.

So let us make the choice to overcome our fears and start believing that we can! If we fail, it is okay. WE CAN ALWAYS TRY AGAIN. Enjoy life everyone! =)
